The 3000 Mk III (BJ8) Phase III is the Final Evolution of the “Big Healey” range, with their Styling still based on the on Gerry Coker’s Healey 100 silhouette from 1952. Over 14 years the Interior Trim Materials, Cockpit Fittings and Weather Equipment Improved to meet growing Market Expectations. The power output of the MkIII’s 3 litre 6 cylinder engine was rated at 150 BHP, making it the Most Powerful Production Model Austin Healey produced, to match the Improved Performance the BJ8s were fitted with Vacuum Servo Assistance to the Front Disc Brakes.

Delivered new to San Francisco after finishing production in September 1965, this 3000 MkIII Phase III was originally delivered with ‘Colorado Red’ bodywork, Painted Wire Wheels, Optional Overdrive, a Heater, Laminated Windscreen and an Adjustable steering column. Some 35 years later, the 3000 MkIII arrived in Australia were it was converted to RHD.

Now presenting in British Racing Green with 72 Spoke Dayton Wire Wheels, and a Retrimmed Black Interior, with BJ8 Silver Seat piping, including a New ‘One Touch’ Convertible hood. To Complement the Bur Walnut Dashboard a 15” Motolita Wood Rimmed Steering Wheel has been fitted, adding to the Class and Distinction Only Available in the 3000 MkIII.
