AUSTRALIA’S FIRST FULLY RESTORED SPRITE

Released in 1958 to Rave Reviews, the All New, Austin Healey Sprite was an Immediate Success, with its Spritely Performance and Precise Handling, Selling 48,987 Units in their 3 Year Production Run.

Built in late 1960, as One of the First Australian Assembled CKD Examples, this ‘Bugeye’ Sprite was Found in MuswellBrook NSW in 1978, after Having Sat for 4 years, Showing Fewer than 14,000 miles, and Underwent ‘The First Full Restoration of a Sprite’, in Australia.

With the Mechanicals Rebuilt and the Bodywork Restored to an Outstanding Standard by ‘Classic Autocraft’, the Sprite was Debuted at New South Wales Sprite Club Concours in December 1983, where it Won ‘Best MkI’ and ‘Best of Show’.

Maintained to a Very High Standard for the Near 4 Decades Following, the Bugeye has Only a Few, Small Upgrades Taking Away from it’s Near Concours Specification, those being: an Extractor Exhaust System, a Fuel Pressure Regulator, Larger 1¼” Carburettors and Ribcase Gearbox Internals in it’s Original Smooth Case.

Well Supported by Documentation and Receipts, this Austin Healey Sprite is also Accompanied by Full Set of Weather Equipment with ‘Bugeyeguy’ Specially Designed Cases for the Soft-Top and Side Curtains.
